Default 996 CARRERA CAMBER

Hello I have a 996 Carrera 2 3.6 with x51 kits. I put springs h & r spacers 4 and 17 mm. You have many degrees of camber front and rear?

The camber and original : F min 0,15 max 0,45 R min 0,8 max 1,5
1st race: F 1,15 R 1,40 In this condition the car has little established .
2st race : F 1,15 R 2,45 In this condition the car is very stable, but 'unwieldy.

You want the proper camber for road, sport or racing that others have used?

Everyone has their own preferences. I asked about this a few months ago and the consensus was that a good setup for the track really isn't a good setup for the street. After many posts and opinions I went with -1.5 degrees in the rear and tried for -1.2 degrees in the front. I was only able to get -1 degree up front so I stuck with it. It worked great for me during DE's and still feels quite stable on the street although a bit more eager to turn in.

You don't mention how much toe in you have with your previous settings. I'm running zero toe-in up front and just a touch of toe-in (0.1) in the rear.

That seems like a lot of rear toe to me. There are certainly people with more experience in this area, but i would suggest reducing the rear camber to about 1.5 degrees. Reducing total front toe to 0, reducing rear toe to 0.1.

You must really be running through tires with this current setup!

I think your camber looks pretty good for a street/DE car. Even or slight toe out in front will help turn in, slight toe in (10 minutes) would be sufficient to settle the car under braking.

Hello, with the X-74 suspension installed, I have the following alignment favouring a track set up, especially since i'm running R-compound tires on track.

Front
Camber -1.5%
Toe 0.06

Rear
Camber -2.0
Toe 0.36

Hope this helps,

The camber and original : F min 0,15 max 0,45 R min 0,8 max 1,5

I will try 'to put : F 1,20
R 2,05

So I have about 0.9° in more front and rear.
The toe as the ruler as recommended Porsche?
