Default M030 Suspension Parts

Does the m030 suspension an entire kit, or just springs? If the kit is springs and sway bar, can I just get the springs? I m fine with my handling, but just want a lower look. If I can just get the springs will part numbers 996 343 531 11504 work? And can I just purchase the springs, have them installed and then get an alignment? This is what I would normally do on a car, not sure if there is something else on this car?? thanks in advanced

M030 came in different flavors for USA vs the Rest of the World ("RoW"). The complete kit includes stiffer springs and shocks as well as stiffer swaybars.

HOWEVER, you should be aware that the USA-spec M030 springs have exactly the same ride-height as the standard USA suspension. They are stiffer, but the same height. If all you want is a lower stance, you need either RoW M030 springs, X74/73 springs, or some aftermarket solution.

Regardless of which option you choose, it's a good time to think about installing fresh shocks that are matched to the new spring rates, as I am sure your original stock shocks have seen better days, and they weren't all that special to begin with on the USA-spec cars. The complete factory kits are very nice and installation is a snap since they are plug-and-play pre-assembled units.

Do as search on RoW, M030, X74 or PSS10 and you will enjoy hours of informed reading. Good luck!

The RoW M030 is about $1100 shipped with shocks, springs, and bars. You can also get just the springs and shocks from carnewal for 790 euro shipped if you don't want the bars which will save you about $100.

There is a set of M030 springs on ebay right now for $400.

if youre just trying to lower the car, and get a slightly stiffer spring, you can buy porsche row for your car. or buy a H&R for your car. they are in the 400-500$ range

Cool

If you just want to look low and mean, I just removed a perfectly good set of TechArt lowering springs from my 1999 996 C2 coupe. They were fitted with original shocks and sway bars and no other mods of any kind to the suspension or attachments.

To see what these springs "look like" on my car go to this: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...uspension.html

I just installed the full M030 RoW suspension kit. Now the car rides about an inch HIGHER than before. But that was what I was looking for.

I will sell you the springs for $250 plus shipping. If you are interested, PM me with your zip+4 and I will get you a shipping quote (I live on the other ocean).

how much cost the full x74 kits ? I remember ridding in a 40th anniversary car, which if I remember correctly got eh x74. It is quite harsh when the road get bumpy, but that is the price to pay I assume.

Well I wanted the row m030 simply because it wasn't too low...the streets suck in Los Angeles. Plus I'm hoping no warranty company woukd ever notice since its still Porsche. Is the row m030 low enough to look better than stock, but not low enough I'm going to have to angle over everything or damage my engine or anything?

The X74 from Gert at Carnewal is about $1800 shipping included. This is as of today with the Euro currency conversion. When I bought it I had in 3 days (from BELGIUM!). Had to pay another $50 for duties to FedEx.

I'm in the market for USA M030 springs / rear sway for a 986S if anyone's upgraded to ROW.
