A guy asked me one time if it pissed me off that the Boxster & 996 shared so many parts. My response was, if you've ever owned an older or rare car where parts are impossible to get, you're Thrilled to own a nice car where the same parts are spread across models to help assure reduced cost and good availability over the years. If my car looks like another, it doesn't make it any slower.

Never is my car confused with a Boxster. But there is a guy with a Carrera GT that I ask if his car is one of those kit cars with the blown VW engine or Fiero chassis... Talk about having an immediate affect upon someone's BP.
