To each their own, but if you can not stand up straight underneath your car, why have it it all?

Some garage ceilings don't allow it, and it's still better than being on your back.

I have been dreaming of installing a similar lift in my side garage, can't convince the wife yet

yeah, 4 posts suck IMO. You cant do brake, bearing or wheel work and with a bad back, getting the car up where you can stand beisde it and work on it is a HUGE plus.

I really like you can move it out of the way as well. And with my lower ceiling its perfect. I like the roller seat idea to be under the car. Becasue honestly I thought the same thing as the above comment until I saw that it is just abotu right height to use the roller.

Well you can use a sliding jack accessory to lift one axle at a time or both if you put 2.

Resurrecting an old thread here. Has anyone dropped an engine/ transmission using a 4-post lift? I would like one for the storage option, but I need a service lift regularly. I am looking at at 9000lb 4-post lift locally. Thoughts?
