I found it interesting primarily due to the fact that they have a 996 in the sample pics.

 

Yea saw this online last night when I was comparing someone's garage floor tiles for sale, I've already got my concrete guy looking at my floor and what needs to be done.

Doh! I paid $2100, delivered, 3 months ago from Garage Equip Supply! Hate when I see threads like this. That $200 savings would pay for a few qts of oil!

 

Too bad it wont lift 993's, it only has a load limit of 6000lbs.....

 

Good excuse to get a set of hollow Twists...

 

the only problem is that its max height is 52" with 3" lift adapters.

thats a pretty awkward crouching height, and i don't think working in a chair is likely for me.

Looks great, I like the fact that it can be moved out of the way when not needed.

I can't find the requirements for the concrete slab anywhere. Is 6" thick with #10 rebar adequate?

 

I do not know the spec on the one you posted but mine is very similar. My garage is 13' ceilings and I paid something like $600 to have the local garage door company replace the rails and beefier springs to take the door to the highest location. You need to add bigger springs since the door will be too much for the springs that are probably on your door right now.

 

4" thick requirement for the garage floor

 

Is there a psi rating for that 4"?

 

Test Parameters:
Fc = 3000PSI (strength of concrete)
Test weight = 6,000 lbs.
Anchor/bolt rated strength (each) = 12,580 lbs.

 

Costco's return policy makes this one an easy test , get it, install it, 30 days to play with it, like it keep it, otherwise take it back... I'm just trying to convince myself that I need it,
