Rear ended
I was rear ended today. I was stopped and the girl was going between 25 to 40 miles per hour. There is only visible damage to the bumperettes and two scratches on the bumper. My questions who shouldni take it To get checked out? Porsche dealer? Body shop? Both? I just want to make sure nothing shows up later on.

There is not even a slight chance that she was going 40mph (or 25 for that matter) if the only damage is scuffs and scratches on the bumper. At 40mph, your car would likely be totaled. You can probably remove the bumper to inspect for damage if you're mechanically inclined yourself, though likely her insurance is picking up tab, so a trip to a body shop may not be a bad idea.

100% sure if she whacked you at 25-40 there is $8k+ in damage rather you see anything or not do not settle for a "repaint the bumper and call it done" the ONLY way to know whats wrong is to get in there and look and unless you are a qualified Porsche specific auto body person, you wont have a clue as to what to look for...
go to a REALLY REALLY good body shop that does Porsche and not just "high end" cars...be ready for a long time without your car, like months.....
BTW glad (from the sound of it) you were not hurt (or her) - did you get any pictures of her that you wouldn't mind sharing
also start reading about "diminished value" and if your car has never had an accident get ready to file a claim for that.... and it could take quite a bit of time, do a search on here.. there are success stories

At the very least, the impact brackets under the bumperettes are toast. They are there just for this purpose, as mandated by DOT, to minimize the damage caused by a low speed impact.
Get it checked out by a GOOD body shop that knows Porsches. Replace impact brackets, bumperettes and repaint bumper cover, check alignment will be in the $1,000 to $1,500+ range.... more it they have to replace and paint bumper cover.

that is something you FIGHT FOR
If you think about it (and have read enough posts here of people looking for cars) many MANY buyers wont even touch a car that was in an accident no matter how slight. The Carfax simply says "accident" and they see that and walk away (ask me how I know)
so in order to sell the car you then have a longer period of time to find a buyer because your audience is smaller, and then you get beat up on price for the carfax report (which is stupid, but real) the difference between what you "could have" sold it for and what you ended up selling it for is the value you can sue them for...
lots of leg work and the link above I posted, the OP would be a really good resource to start with, and YES.... get a good body shop to look at it, my <5mph hit was not cheap to fit, a trained eye sees things even I missed...also if there is any paint needed make sure the shop is using real porsche paint and not some crap off the Chinese market to save $$$ (there are specs on the paint and thickness)

I was rear ended 2 years ago on the eve of Thanksgiving. Rush hour traffic stop and start type....The person (young **** girl) behind me was texting... hit me while I was stopped and pushed me into a new Cadillac. I got crunched! The rear qtrs on each side buckled. To make matters worse the driver that caused the mess took off. Lucky for me my insurance ate the $12K bill + rental car. I was in a rental for 3 months. Than to add more salt to the wound, when the body shop put the rear back together they did not route some wiring properly and it eventually frayed causing a CEL. The PCar dealer while fixing the frayed wire shorted the car's brain! They forgot to disconnect the battery!!! I'm getting all worked up just writing this! I need to walk away....
Sounds like your case is not as bad but I would definitely have it checked out. Good Luck!

I'm guessing totalled. my neighbor had the ceiling (not the entire floor) drop out of his garage onto his TT (our apartment bldg is from the 1920s). it dinged and scratched a lot of his finish....car was totalled
