What about a Crown Vic/Grand Marquis/Marauder with a protection package?
You could supercharge the engine, (think Roush power upgrade)
I haven't a clue about armour for cars but these vehicles stand up to the worst drivers in the world..... New york city cab drivers.
It's a robust platform - frame on chassis that is rear wheel drive.
