C32:
The only thing I am missing is your track schedule for next year.
Let us all know which track you will be at so I can illustrate to everyone how a lowly 996 will summarily tear the c32 (or any street benz or BMW for that matter) a new you know what.
After that just to be fair what do you say about doing 20 runs of zero to 100 ... and back to zero. You might want to bring along another vehicle to get you back home from the track after this little test.
See you at the track!! I hope!

C32,
I don't think Mercedes or Porsche had drag racing in mind when they built these cars. Don't see any drag racing on TV in Germany nor on the streets for that matter. Its all about the track. If you really want to pin your car to see who's best do it on a track. Anybody can steer straight ahead and hit the gas. But you need skill to hang the twisties. That way you and the car make up the results. Just my 2 cents (no flame) actually considered a C32 before the Porsche but wanted manual shift and none was offered with the big engine. BTW: Porsche picks up more chicks!!

A couple things to remember. The G-Tech highly over estimates the quarter mile speed you would obtain if you actually took your car to the drag strip (my GTS measures 128 on the G-Tech for an actual trap speed of 118.8) so I wouldn't throw that number around too much. The G-Tech is pretty accurate on quarter time but a quarter time in the 13 second range is similar to a stock Camaro SS and less than a 996 driven hard.
Just curious why you bought the more expensive MB when the M3 out performs it in all respects for less $$? You must like automatics....
