Default Griffin iTrip

I just got my Griffin iTrip to play your ipod through an FM frequency. I decided to try it because, for one, I am a cheap ***. That's it, I am a cheap ***. It was rated well on Amazon and it was only $20. Might as well try it. The thing works great!! I live in Los Angeles too!! It sounds as good as any radio station. I am very impressed 20 bucks!!
It scans for the best 3 stations to use and you hit play and bam, great sounding music from your ipod. 20 BUCKS! The wire is a bit unsightly but I can live with it
I highly recommend it for people who don't want to spend time and money on an ipod adapter.
GO U.S.A!!!!!!!!!

I have a different brand, but I'm cheap too. It has worked for several years, easy to hook up, and can be used in all my vehicles. Mine cost $26 + shipping. Thanks for the info, mine is looking tired, may replace with this one.

The iTrip must be a lot better now than it was a few years ago when I tried it. Mine sounded like CRAP! I bought the Becker adapter for a few bucks and now the ipod/iphone sounds fantastic.

It sounds as good as a radio station. There is no static. I am sure the Becker or something else hard wired in will sound better if tested head to head but I am perfectly happy. As long as I can listen to my Gordon Lightfoot compilation I am pleased.
itrip 4045 model BTW

I had one of the FM transmitters, and it sounded good, but had issues with finding a non-used frequency....went with the Becker iPod cable, and it sounds sooo much better....well worth the extra $20-$30, and 15 minutes of installation time....IMHO

Is this gizmo bluetooth compatible as well? This way you can mate it to any cell phone with bluetooth and broadcast music into a FM frequency.

What model radio do you have? $50 and 15 minutes sounds pretty good.

Is that a custom interior or the lighting?
Those cassette deals work really well. I remember when I used to play my portable CD player through the cassette. Really good sound.

CDR220....the hardest part was threading the cable through the console frame...

http://www.beckerautosound.com/Porsc...CDR%20220.html

also one correction...it was $65 not $50...(I paid $40 for my wireless so the upgrade to the cable was an additional $20-30)

it really does sound a lot better though....
