it's sort of amazing they sewed it back on and 3 months later 90% of my finger's back, nerves and all...
I had one set of pain killers that made me hallucinate something fierce the other knocked me out for 24 hrs at a time, needles to say which one I used

Look, a flock of naked girls with wings in purple sky, got to fly!

Cheers!

HID Bi-xenon projector headlights for my '88 Carrera special edition diamond blue.

H4 base with solenoid operated apperture/shade for SHARP upper beam cutoff in low beam position.

'65-67 "buckets" and now for the trim rings.

Actually, 996 headlights are responsible for Obama being elected. Hopefully the upcoming 998 will bring America to its senses and he will only be in for one term.

No the 996 was during Bush's re-election, and we are still recovering from that aberration.

I agree. It dissolves and polarizes pretty quickly.

hated them when I bought the car in 2000. fixed them. love the fix, still hate tthe original look.

They look cheesy to me. Like no one in design had a say in using boxter headlights on the top of the line of the brand.

To each his own........ you spend your money, you go with what you like, screw everyone else.

Hey RC51,

Listen I think you've got a beautiful ride but... since the the original poster is looking for opinions which way to go and why or why not... here's my take on the option on going with your mod.

To me your headlights look like you painted them to look like 997 ones, which doesn't make it look more expensive or better, it sort of looks like a cheap mod to an expensive car.

I know you probably have some thoughts of your own on the way people like me mod their lights (by using masks) but something I learned long ago is if you 're trying to change something don't try to make it disappear (shape of headlight) instead enhance it!

That way (even with a cheap Techart knock off) you're changing the shape with the intent of celebrating it... instead of trying to camouflage it and make it look like something it will never be.
This will only make people think, "this guy really wanted a 997 but got stuck with this 996".

To the OP check out the difference between RC51 and one like mine and judge for yourself what you like best, maybe it's non of the above...

Cheers,

Sid.

Thanks for the input but by the looks of it, you are coloring the kettle black. Expensive Techart eyelids (ugly), LED tail lights (not celebrating ****), front wannbe 997 bumper (its looks okay) dope 997 wheels (only props on your car).

By the way, if I wanted a 997 I would of bought one. Spending $30K on a $40K car is not by any means, being stuck with a 996.

Since you are so concerned about what other people think, lets create a poll and see who prefer's your ride versus mine.

Okay, im sorry in advance but you were the closest person I could lash out on. heheh.
