Amberectomy
Well the weather has been raining almost everyday and the job has been busy so I have not completed the install on my new PSS10's. But we had a dry hour or two today so I did the amberectomy on my front lights. I had bought the silver/orange bulbs a couple of years ago. I really like the way it looks without the amber lenses buried in there.
Next is the darkening of the headlights seem here:

But actually, if it is sunny on Tuesday the PSS10's will come first.

Pics? You mean like this! Right now it is raining out. But also I have a confession to make. In the 5 years that I have been hanging out on this site I have never posted a picture of my car. And yet I have never been nailed by Tim, or Dell, or Ed, etc. etc. Somehow I have just gotten away with it.
But I am going to take before and after pics of the PSS10 install and finally I may reveal my baby!

Was it hard to get the pumpkin guts out? How long did it take? I've been wanting to do this.

PETE!
this is a simple job for a rainy day... takes 20/30 min for the first and 1/2 as long for the second
in an hour with zero money you can make a big improvement !

$7.99 for the soldering iron at Radio Shack, you need a long thin one, no way my soldering gun would have worked. The first one took 15 minutes, the second 10. Be careful as you can melt the opening in the housing when you are reaching in to the orange lens. Get the bulbs ahead of time, although not necessarily two years ahead of time like I did.
