No need to be worried, they are well matched to our 911s for the street.

trouble is we are used to paying so much for everything we get nervous when something is fairly priced and good quality/value for the money

Isn't 'that' the truth! Nice to get an occasional reprieve.

Not me. I've done so many stupid things, that using Sumis isn't even on the list. I have been singing praises for Sumis since 2007.
I know there was a thread somewhere where I admitted to upgrading the sound system and also running Fabspeed bypass pipes. No THAT's genius

"If you have non-N-rated tires, then, you can relax. If the handling characteristics in all conditions suit your style of driving and what you expect o f the car, then who can argue against that?
Porsche’s aim right from the start was to make sure that tires were available that met not just its own high engineering standards, but also met the capability of the car’s performance.

Ha, I think the smoke would be coming from a different spot if I tried doing that with my C4!

I'm happy with the Hankooks.

I tore through one set of Sumi's already.

In my 2 months with the V12's I'd say they're better all around, better ride quallity and better grip (very grippy rubber).

The V12's also have good tread depth to start, but initially that means they're not super crisp on turn in, but I'm sure that'll improve as they wear down a bit.

There's that tire comparo on Car & Driver, that steered me to the Hankooks.

Anybody have anything to say good or bad about Falkens. They seem to be pretty good, early on during the ALMS racing.....anyone tried a set? Reviews?

Just put two in the rear. I had no choice. These were in stock at the Tire Kingdom when I limped in with a shared piece of metal in my left rear. A review to follow:

(Revived a really old thread ;-)

I changed out some old Michelin's for these this past week and the ride is much nicer (metal was showing in the Michelins- so not a fair comparison) Only weird thing is they seem to smell like burning rubber? Need to get the alignment checked... But, ya, the ride is good and the price was right

Can someone shed some light on the fit for 18" x 11", I have 285 Continental DW and do not want any narrower than what I have, I also want to get 295.
These sound like great tires for DD and Autocross.
I also need wider tires on front, the new rims 18" X 9".
Any thoughts on going to a 35 series in the front.
