Thanks for that link. So the X51 engine package really does solve the oiling issues? Sorry I keep asking for reassurances, but my recent Cayman debacle has left me somewhat paranoid.

Here's what I know from the registry research I did on this car:
The car was originally sold by a California Porsche dealer to an owner in California. He sold it to a guy from Brentwood, CA in July 2006 when the car had just under 9K miles. This info came from the Autocheck report on the car. Then, apparently the owner in Brentwood passed away and his daughter was selling the car in April-June of this year, asking as their last advertised price $33,000 with 25,364 miles (it was in a probate estate). It went off the market and now is for sale again with an asking price of $39,990 and now 26,900 miles. From what I can tell the seller is a guy named Won Choi (based on his phone number). He listed it in September on Autotrader and hasn't moved on his asking price. The car has a production month of October 2003 and had these options from the factory:
Bose stereo, 6-disc CD, Floor Mats and Comfort Seats (no rear wiper or PCM).
From the pics it looks like it was in good condition and one of its previous owners must have been a PCA member given the sticker on the rear bumper, although I've never seen anyone put a sticker like that on a bumper instead of a window. I've attached the pics from the previous listing in case you're interested (it'll be in two separate postings because you can only use 5 pics per posting). Good luck - let us know if you get the car.
PS - the ownership history can be found in the 40th registry (link is in my signature below).

Bought the car with 56k on it, three years ago. Still getting almost 29mpg while driving sensible.
Original clutch made it to 192,000. Still looks great inside and out. Anybody want to buy it?

Thanks Ted
The clutch parts are gone.
As with anything that gets used, it wears out. The fuel pump died yesterday. Spendy at the Porsche dealer. Also having plugs and coil packs replaced, some had cracks. This might be the beginning of a slow rebuild. But I owe the car for many miles of trouble free driving. Still less expensive than a new car. On to 300,000 miles.
