Switched power in center console?
Tim said in my previous thread that there was a "phone plug" in the center console. Anybody have an idea what it looks like or where exactly it is located?
I was going to tap into the cig lighter plug but that is constant power.
TIA!

Dell - you have to remove the center console to get at it, the rear one with the shifter in it. B&M's site has good instructions on how to do this for the short shifter install. Once it is off you will be able to see the phone wires/connector.

So those people that need to suck down a cancer stick with the ignition off have a place to light it

If you pull out the top cubby or CD holder, you will find what you are looking for.
Maybe. It may not be switched. There is 12V across the two outer sockets with the key off. This is OK for my purposes, which is to wire up an auxillary dual power socket. I don't mind the cell phone charging with the engine shut off.
Anyway, this may get you started.

Success.
FYI....you only have to removed the right side leather panel and side carpeted panel. That's all. You will see the 4 wire connector just sitting in the middle.
You'll want to test with a test light as well but I can tell you the following:
Front Left to Right in my Picture:
Wire#1 Brown NOTHING
Wire#2 Yellow NOTHING
Wire#3 Green SWITCHED
Wire#4 Red CONSTANT
