Default Car cover for a 996 4S & garage vs carport.

Folks...I am in a situation where I am moving into a house which only has a carport and not an enclosed garage. I have always garaged my 4S and am not sure of what I am going to do in this carport situation.
Do I always keep it under a cover? If yes....any recommendations for a good car cover?
Or am I worrying too much and it will do just fine under a carport with the occasional dust and pollen on it?
Putting the cover on every time you come back from a drive seems like a pain when I think about it......

Thoughts/suggestion....??

Either get a garage or sell the Porsche!!!! Parking a Porsche outside is verboten and, as such, is a punishable offense!

Tim, really? Then don't mind this picture

Oh, and that's my daily in the front. At least I had my part of the street 'reserved' with 4 cars at one point. Now I'm only left with 1, but it's in a garage

For peace of mind, I'd suggest the following:

What to do with carports?

couple hundred and a few friends will turn that carport into an "open garage" - find a door on craigslist or home depot and seal the deal....

I park mine outside with a car cover. CarCoversDirect.com custom fit car cover NOAH fabric. Pretty easy to put on and remove.

I used to park my car outside, but too much crap stick to the paint. There is no way to have a 911 outside like this, it is a crime. If you'd be leasing the car, may be, as you don't really care. But if you own it and love it, you can't do it!

My 996 sits under a car port also. It gets dusty thats it. I'm nuts with the car so I give it a wipe every day with a damp micro fiber cloth.
