Default Orange "dots", "bubbles" on the instrument display!

Yesterday I checked out my 996 C4 -00 after it has been
resting out under the winter season.
Been keeping it in a garage with no heat.

Started it up and found out that my instrument display
had around 40 small dots, (bubbles) that glowed in orange!

What could have happened here? Something serious
or is it only moist bubbles?

Hopefully it is something that clears up after warmth and dry. Have seen others on here have displays go bad. You might be able to find some info searching.

JReid had a problem simular to yours. Maybe ask him.

Drifter - For what it's worth, I started driving the car again a few weeks back and the effect went away shortly thereafter. Don't know if it was the cold temperatures, lack of use, or both, but everything seems to be fine now.

Thanks for the reply JReid. He should be waking up over there in Sweden some time soon to find out the problem will likely clear up after the chemicals aren't are warmed up in there.

Hold down your air conditioners recirculate button then press both + and - temperature buttons at the same time while holding down the recirculate button. Oops
Good thing you don't need a good A/C living in Washington.

Thx for all info guys! Exactly the same phenomena on my display
as on your pictures.

I will take it out for a ride this weekend and "get som heat in it".
Hopefully it will go away. I will keep you posted on the progress later on.

The dots are gone! Disapeared after around 25 min of driving =)
