Default LUGs ... Quick clean up!

LUGs ... Quick clean up!

I hate seeing the Porsches with rusty/tarnished wheel lugs.

I wanted to stay with the original steel lugs.

I lightly cleaned lugs with steel wool and then applied a couple of coats from a silver metallic Sharpie.

I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Nice! I am sporting the same wheels with the same issue.

Doesn't tightening the lugs take the sharpie coloring off?

Yes, but can be quickly touched up. This is only a temp fix.

I just pulled em all off and painted them with Wurth wheel paint.
It was quick and easy.

Looks great. When I paint my center console silver I’ll most likely do the same.

Just did this a few weeks ago...re-zinced mine. That sharpie does wonders...looks great for quick touchups.

Clean them and paint them....and then take it easy with a softtite socket when you take them on and off. I painted mine GT Silver.
