Here's my story...

Bumper to bumper traffic, going at about 20mph... dark, at around 7pm.

I hear a pop in my driver's rear. I thought it may have been just a small rock. I ignored it.

I hear a second one. No biggie, not as loud as the other one.

When I get home, I see three blowgun darts stuck to my rear bumper. They look like the pic below. They obviously punctured the bumper. There were three of them. They put small holes in the bumper and a small crack in the paint in two of them.

If I knew who did it, I'd do a lot more than venting on this forum...Gotta love lowlife people.

Make sure that you contact the authorities and report this. Potentially, this could lead to deaths.

agreed - contact the authorites and do not touch the evidence with your hands- use gloves as they can use that. I also think it is a danger and can lead to an accident and loss of lives...

Yeah, a bumper repaint is necessary. The holes made the material bulge where they poked through. It's just the thought that we can not just simply enjoy our cars on the freeway, even during traffic, without some dumbf.ck messing with your car.


To be honest, I have no confidence in the CHP, especially with this matter where no injuries occurred.

Heck, they can't even enforce the cell phone law... and you expect them to investigate three small blowdarts that ruined some guy's Porsche bumper?

Man I hate that..... Its all over, Not just Cali. I had some one spit chew all over my 928 last year from a dump truck. Then he smiles at me as I passed him. Another popular one around here is if you are following a loaded dump for them to slam the hooks to try to jar crap off the top of the load.

With that I hope the person that did it is not an adult. At least as a teen you're somewhat brain dead (as I'm sure we all did really stupid things especially in the company of friends). If it is an adult I'm sure you'll see them on the local news one day with a sad looking mug shot.

rather see a plain looking morgue shot of the guy - I dont want to spend our money feeding and housing these people any more....the laws get tougher and tougher and all we end up doing is filling jails up with people so they can be supported by the tax payers......there doesnt seem to be a lot of fear in criminals minds. There should be.

Aimless vandalism is crap, sorry about your incident. Remember the American ex-pat kid who got sentenced and lashed in Singapore for vandalizing a car, I think it was in the early 1990's or so....

Been doing some more research on this crap and blowdart guns are illegal to own in CA and MA, it seems. There's a ton of online stores that sell this crap. They even have CO2 cartridges to launch the darts!

Apparently, in DE, they had issues where bicyclists were hit by blowdarts!
