Carfax question
No, I didn't buy another Porsche - at least not yet 
. But hey guys - I just put down a deposit on an '08 BMW 328xi coupe 6MT with every conceivable option, plus 6MT. Car's for my kid in grad school. It's dark metallic blue (Monaco) over gray - nice car with 20K miles. Got it at a reasonable price from a BMW dealer with CPO and 2 years left on factory warrantee. Dealer says car is 'flawless' - new tires, etc. The carfax says it was a "manufacturer's car' bought at auction by the dealer. Any issue or problem with that? I'm assuming not a demo - what do you think? Thanks!!! I'm not posting this on the BMW board because I trust you guys more without question.

OK, like Fty stated above ^ it's probably a BMW lease return that the dealer picked up.
Sounds like a nice car and with 20K miles on it, it probably doesn't have a sulfated battery!

Phil, you sound like a great Dad. Grad school is difficult enough, without having to worry about car problems. I bet your kid will love it. My son and I just got his 944 (first car) running Thursday. It was more exciting than if it had been my own.
