3 compliments in one day...

3 compliments in one day...
I decided to ski Thurs. and Fri. at Loon Mtn. in the White Mtns. As I pulled into the parking lot next to an SUV and older man said, "nice Porsche, great way to get to the mountain".I mentioned it was a nice way to go and better that I didn't get a ticket on the way.
After 4 hours on the hill, I was approached by several Asian skiers who were getting their instuctors certification, and they approached my 99 911 with broad grins and pointing at my Porsche giving me a thumbs up. They loved my exhaust sound(FisterD) when I started my car and thought it was pretty nice as I left.
Hours later, same day, I was going to my car after shopping for food and beer at the local grocery store, and an older gentleman was eying my 911, walking around it as I came closer. He said, nice Porsche, what model is it (my Carrera badge is not on) ? I told him it was a basic Carrera, MY99 and he was astonished. He also said he just bought a MY 06 Cabrio from Calif. and it was being delivered soon.
In 3 years of ownership, I haven't had this many positive compliments...it really made my day.

Sweet! I remember the first time someone complimented me on my Porsche--I had never had anyone compliment me on my car. I was so shocked I didn't know how to respond! Loon--a great little mountain. I also loved Sunday River.

That is Great, a compliment on your car is always a great thing! I remember last summer there were a few times when I would be stopped at a light and a car would pull up, and for some reason I would always get the same question....."Excuse me, What kind of Car is that?" and of course I would say a Porsche 911, and they would always be "Wow, that is a beautiful car!"
When this first started I was a little confused, but then I realized that there is only one place that most people can see where my car says Porsche, and that is on the hood. On the back it just cays "Carrera". (Which I am sure most people have no idea what that means.)
That is great man 3 in one day, any compliment is a good one, but 3 Rocks.

interesting day for me, the wife and I were out for a bit and there were lots of nice cars out today. A Guards Red 997 Cab went by us and she says (remember my wife is NOT a car person and admits to not liking the P-car very much)
"the new Porsche dont look as sporty as the old ones.. more like a lexus... I like yours, it's new but still loooks sporty"
