anyone have a new or rebuilt 3.6 lying around? another failed motor here. thanks.

Ok, you have to give us more details than this. What happened? AT least the 3.6's are several thousand dollars less than the 3.4's from Porsche. But that is not the only alternative.

Im a Porsche rep, I never heard of one of these engines failing....

Engine died on friday while stopped at a light. Turned it back on and whole car started shuddering and ticking/knocking sound internal. Shut it down and towed for inspection. no p/c damage apparent from plug hole boroscope inspection. Drained oil and tons of bearing shrapnel in oil. Very well maintained car with 89k on the clock. Awaiting report on cause. Sad day.
