$30 for fluid and a six pack of beer is all it takes at my place

$430??? $20 a liter x 2 for a full flush and 3-4 hours of labor? They should be ashamed of themselves.

A misunderstanding or comically stupid. Last time I had the dealer do it, it was $91.95 for parts and labor.

hey guys, while the price might seem high to you, anyone living in the tri-state metro area would not be too shocked by that number.
you have to remember, and this has no bearing on the original poster, that most people who buy these cars, at these prices, do not even know or care what tire pressure is, much less changing brake fluid.
so my guess, is that if they are told that this is what must be done to keep up the warranty, while they might not be happy about paying it, they will.
btw---as typical with all trades in nyc, just getting someone to you front door is worth at least $250 show-up money.

just my .02, no flames, please.

I think I would have told her "No, you don't understand. I don't want them to replace the brake rotors, I just want the brake FLUID changed!"

Dell, is that price bad enough for "the umbrella story?"

Dell, you and I are thinking of two differnet things. I hadn't heard about your blue ATE shower until now. I would have loved to see that!

I was talking about getting the ultimate screw job on price for a service from the dealer. That's when they bend you over, shove an umbrella up your ***, open it up, and then pull it out!
