Default Quad exhaust tips

I have a narrow body C4 Cab Mk2.
I like the look of the turbo exhaust tips.
Should I get them or is it total poser?

They were an factory option that the first owner of the car ordered. They were on the car when I bought ot. I don't recall how much they were.

I have seen some aftermarket tips on ebay that were similar looking to these.

Anyone know how good are the ones on Ebay? I saw them to but not sure if the back ends will fit properly even after welding if needed...

Ed, come to think of it, you joined Rennlist after my 996 "went away." I guess you never saw too many pics of my car.

Or you can search the For Sale section. I, umh, happen to know the seller on these: Link

I purchased them about a year ago from a fellow RL'er. I didn't know and they didn't know that they were only for a narrow body.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

I cannot access the link :-(
Anyone have a source they've used and what was involved with installation?
