Very occasionally an old thread is revived, usually legitimately. Don't go locking down every thread just because once or twice per year someone accidentally revives an old thread that deserves to be dead.

Man oh man....there's a back button right there at the top corner of your browser. If the date on the thread is too old for your liking then just click that little arrow thing.

Problem solved.
