Post Precision Porsche

Does anybody have any experience with the fit and quality of Precision Porsche? I was looking to purchase a GT3 bumper and carrera wing for my 2000 cab. Thoughts or comments on them...

Ask them if they have sold to shops that do customizing Porsches in your area then ask the shops if any.

What are their front bumpers made of? If you are going Mk1 GT-3 front bumper consider OEM, you cant beat the quality and fit of the factory part.

I am waiting for a response from them at the moment. If its fiberglass..then I will skip it. I didn't think I could get the Mk1 GT3 bumper oem for a 2000 cab? I thought they only make it for 8/01 - 2004..correct me if I'm wrong...if I am wrong that's good in this case..

You can, Thats the mk 1 Aerokit/GT3 Front bumper.
My car below is te Mk II Aerokit, 8/01 - 2004 that you mention.

Try sunset or suncoast for a price.
I am pretty sure this is the part number: 996-505-980-02-G2X

Hey Trueman, several friends and myself have bought from Precision Porsche and everyone's very happy with the fitment an quality, Tony (the owner of PP) is a stand-up guy.

The only bad experience I had was with the shipping, the front bumper (to another Porsche I've got) arrived cracked...

As to the fiberglass issue, as long as you make sure the lower lip is in polyurethane, ABS etc. and you add a 3M protective film (for fiberglass parts) you'll be just fine!

Like you said most of the time it's impossible to find something more current that will fit on an older model unless you go fiberglass (like the 2008 GT2 bumper I've got on my '04 C4S, see avatar).

Hope this helps.

cheers,

Sid.

+1 on going with the OEM bumper.

The Mk1 GT3 bumper is still available, as I know of one bought from my local Porsche dealer earlier this year. It took about a week to arrive.

This is good news. I feel like i'm beating a dead horse but here's another question?
What the difference from the MK1 GT3 bumper and the Techequipment Aero Bumper(not sold separately must purchase both #000 044 802 04 Vivid Racing) I will be adding a small wing to my cab since its a narrow body.

Hey Wellard, Do you have pics of the front bumper that you installed?

Thanks for all the info guys

The Porsche aero bumper and the MK1 GT3 bumper are the same, just referred to differently. My bumper looks the same as the one that was posted above.

I would be cautious about buying from third party vendors that claim to be selling the OEM bumper - sometimes it is, sometimes it is not.
