Good story, except for the towing part. I think it's absolute BS that they tow your car as a form of punishment. There is no recourse - that money is gone, whether or not you are found guilty.
Welcome to OUR world. 50KPH (31mph) over any speed limit and we get towed (and billed) and the lose car for 1 week plus impound charges for the week and even if charges tossed out of court - we can't recover the fees. FYI: Max fine is $10,000...
