Given all the discussion about IMS failure, I'm wondering if anyone has tried the IMS upgrade (with the ceramic bearings) offered by LN Engineering and how was the experience?

dude - I'm not usually the kind of guy that tells people to search before they post. I personally see a benefit in reposting a question once in a while to get the discussion going again

In this case though there has been *so* much discussion on this board already that I am telling you to search.

Search for IMS bearing repair and start reading. It may be useful to take a couple days off work as well so you can get through it all.

Sorry... I've been reading through the site over the past month or so and all I've found are posts on

"never had a problem..."

and

"yep... had my engine rebuilt..."

and posts to LN Engineering's web site. Perhaps I should have just made this a followup to the ongoing poll.

I have it installed just a month ago. Experience was probably ok, since my mechanic installed it.
