Default Trans Oil

I am changing out all the fluids as there is no service history on my 2001 that was recently purchased (yes, Pics on the way!)...

What is the best oil / fluid to use in the 6 speed? I have just under 40,000 miles....

Do a search on past threads and you'll find all sorts of recommendations and opinions.
I say go with Porsche recommended unless you're having syncro issues (like me) in which case I'd use Redline 75-90NS. NS stands for no-slip; slip agents aren't added to this version, thus helping worn syncros match up speeds easier.
Just don't use it if you have an LSD in your trans, unless you're only tracking the car (some do it on the street, but it's a bit chirpy for my taste).

factory. I bought a 20L drum from the dealer and several of us local guys went in on it and did a day of tranny oil changes in my garage.

I use the Mobil1 Delvac in my track cars. Nothing but great success with it. I buy mine from Luftecknic LINK $42 a gallon and you need a almost that for a full change.

+1 for Mobil 1 Delvac, used in street and track cars.
