Thumbs up C4S On Track - Video @ VIR

This video was taken in my car last weekend at the Carolinas PCA DE @ VIR Full. This was a fantastic and very well run event.

The camera is a GoPro Hero Motorsports Wide stationed in the upper corner of the passenger windshield area. Decent video, but little to no audio, so I mixed in a tune. This was session 2 of 3 on Saturday, White Group, solo. Some point-bys are not as obvious as others, but they were all given.

An absolute blast! If you haven't taken your 996 to a DE, its a must. They are extremely capable.

Great video. Can't wait until my first DE in the 996. What model 911 was in front of you?

Whitey, are you running camber plates? I am assuming that if I run my C4S stock, that I'd chew up the outer edges of the tires pretty quickly since the stock camber setting is close to 0 degrees. I figure I want -1 degree up front and around -1.5 to -2 degrees at the back.

The dark one, #369, was a 996 C2. He was smooth and fast.

No camber plates; I'm only running ~1* up front and 2* in the rear, a "street alignment" by most standards. I do not chew up my tires, and these were essentially new (by wear, not age) BS S02As.

I haven't been to any other track, but I really really like VIR. I plan on doing some Carolina Motorsports Park (CMP) events next year, which is a little shorter and more technical as I am told.

Nice Vid... We visited VIR for the first time with NNJR on 11-6,7,8-2009. Great track lots of fun. With WGI being my home track VIR has many similar features. We will be adding VIR to our yearly travel plans

Me too. Looking into something that will mount to the soon-to-be-installed roll bar.

Yeah, VIR must be great to drive, always love the oak tree and some of the sections.

Also kudos on the mods you've done to your car, was looking at your sig and got a couple ideas.
