I'm still working my way through this whole thread (about halfway through), but quoting the above in case anyone missed it. This trick works, my car's idle was a bit rough, did the above trick, and it seems to be better. Thanks JDSStudios!

I have not seen this noted, though I have seen several comments about rear tires wearing out at 15,000 miles. This is because the factory set camber is quite aggressive. I suppose this makes for great response when turning aggressively under throttle...... I wouldn't know as I rarely have driven my 2000 C4 cab that way.

I do know this. If you set the camber to neutral for the rear tires you will double your tire mileage.

My C4 now has 135,000 miles on her and I have enjoyed every single mile. And she handles just fine for me....... flame suit on.

Can you put the top up on a 996 cabrio carerra 2 with the windstop installed (folded down position ) or do you need to remove the windstop completely? Has anyone ever had a convertible top cut/nicked by putting up the top with a folded wind stop in place. Please advise. Thanks A11

I discovered that the side markers don't flash when turn signals are on. I was trying to figure out how I screwed up the replacement with clear ones. No screwup. It just doesn't do what any of our other German cars (BMW & Audi) do.

I didn't want too make another tread, I'm sorry if this is off topic but I couldn't find help on Google (a first)

How do I remove the stock spoiler on my 03 Cab.. I ordered a different spoiler and he says that in order to install all you gotta do is remove the stock Pop up spoiler (not the whole deck lid) and replace it with the one I bought .. Can someone lead me too another forum maybe? A video? To remove the stock... Much appreciated!

I have not found documentation on this but Hard sprints Wide open throttle running to red line will make the A/C compressor switch off until I decide to drive normally again.

Yes, we know that the Cabrio top will not fold down if you don't have the parking brake set (exception is when using the key in door method).
However, it will not fold down if the engine cover is unlatched either.

Default I discovered two things (headlight and washer reservoir)

I discovered today that the next time I ever remove the 7 liter reservoir, I will remove the caliper and rotor. What a puzzle box that is. The good news is the leak was mysteriously stopped by removing the pumps and re-seating them. That was a total beating of a chore.

I also discovered that, in replacing my driver's side parking bulb, the real culprit was aged and separating wire insulation. I felt like a brain surgeon with all those wires. Has to be record number of wires in ANY headlight assembly, EVER.

I'm very satisfied to have successfully conquered these two would-be simple tasks.

I so love driving a 911.

Mark
