Lmao, no kidding, last year (was 23) at the time, my mom was at UofM er in Ann arbor, I've never been and couldn't find a spot for the life of me...I go up to valet and the guy says Doctor! You on call, first time here? Go park over there, the Dr/essential employee garage. I laughed and said no I'm scared of needles and blood, just checking on my mom.

After wondering if there was something wrong with my new key, (old key remote didn't work and had the dealer replace it.) I did some googling and found out that there is a 3 second delay for the trunk release.
(I didn't find anything on here about it.)

On my 99 996 cab, the handbrake does NOT have to be on if you are operating the convertible top from the drivers door. It DOES have to be on if you are operating the convertible top from the dash. Porsche in their wisdom figured you were unlikely to be driving the car when standing next to the drivers door outside the car. The hand brake has to be engaged when operating the top from the dash as a safety feature. When the car is moving, the top cannot be operated as the hand brake is then disengaged.

Mine lost an engine in 2006 but I'm assured that "it's not as common as you think" and I'm encouraged not to talk about it, which isn't at all reassuring when you're the guy holding the checkbook.

I just purchased a 2003 and have a couple of questions about the controls. I have a switch that looks like an exhaust control. Is this what it is? How does it work? Also, I don't have a switch to raise/lower the spoiler. It works on the highway Am I missing something? Thanks!

Yesterday I learned on my 99 with a cable system for the front and rear hood releases, that if the engine cover is not latched, you can't move either of the releases, they are mechanically locked out.
I determined this by locking the car and hearing the horn honk signifying that something is not latched. I could not figure out what it was, tried popping the frunk and the engine cover, both locked out. Went back and checked the engine cover, it appeared fully closed and I had driven it for about 4 miles, but it was not. Lifted it open and closed it, then the frunk and engine latch were mechanically unlocked at the driver's seat.
Who would of thought that? How does this thing work?
