Your posts reveal your lack of experience with these cars. You can magazine race all you want, but anyone who has spent any amount of time behind the wheel of these three models can tell you the 996 is a quicker and faster car than it's older brothers. (I know it's simply shocking that Porsche would design the newer cars to be faster.....you'd really think they would keep building the newer cars slower and slower).

Don't take my word for it, just pull aside a few 964 or 993 Club Racers at your next PCA meeting and suggest to them that they should leave "E" & "F" (or "G" for the 993) class and start mixing it up with the 996's in "H" (Mk I's) or "I" (Mk II's) straight up.

You can argue with them about how the old cars are "just as quick" till the cows come home, but you won't find any converts. If you wanna race against the 996's with a 964 in "I", better make sure it says "turbo" or "RS" on the rear deck lid....

Very true. The 964 and 993 are awesome sports cars, but they probably don't move the needle much for the average teenager anymore.

yes I did not know you can be in your 30's or 40's or even older and still have a father. He is interested in a cayman and it is a simple question.

Love your intelligence levels. Someone states why are the 996 so cheap and i give my opinion. i get bashed and told my car is slower etc. Top speed yes slower everything else doesn't seem that way.

I showed proof that the 964 is not slower actually faster and all you can say is we are lighter and more HP. I am saying gearing has something to do with it and I showed you with tests.

Who has a civic? I love you guys and just because I would never buy a 996 I am not bashing your cars. I love how everyone takes it so personal.
