Flushed my calipers and killed my battery

My second project after the oil change was to flush the calipers and use the ATE blue fluid. The process was pretty easy but time consuming since I had to lift each wheel up individually.
I know some of you guys had probably finished this within an hour or so but it took me two hours to complete it. Since I had the trunk open the whole time I killed my battery. So it's probably safe to say I'll be needed a new one soon since I don't think such a small light should have wiped out the power in my battery.
Anyway, does anyone know a way to turn that light off (in the trunk) when you have it open? On my 944 there was a switch but I didn't see anything on this one.
I had to jump start the car (had to read the manual to figure that one out) and everything seems okay now. But I'll probably be battery shopping soon...
Brake pedal feels about the way it did before, I didn't bleed the clutch so that feels the same. But at least I have new fluid there for my upcoming DE event.
Overall not a bad weekend, spent about 3 hours with cleanup and all, got my oil changed and brake fluids flushed. Saved myself probably close to $300 in doing so and got to learn a little about my car. Plus got a comment from my neighbor: "What are you doing to that car?!? I thought fine German engineering didn't require any maintenance?" Haha!

Did you remember to bleed the ABS pumpmotor, PSM manifold assembly..?
Most cars have a bleeder valve nearby. I have heard that the shops do that by running the car on a lift so the TRAC function activates and moves the old fluid to the rear calipers.

Just unplug the lamp from the connector next time; pull it out with your fingernail; takes 2 seconds; I do this during the week. I'd also get a battery tender to keep it topped off. HTH

Interesting...My battery must be really weak if that small light caused my power outage.
The Motive was a real big help but even so it leaked a little bit of fluid from the center connection so keep a rag nearby if you didn't tighten yours enough like I did. I tried to tighten the nut between the two hoses but still a few drops would come out under pressure.

fpena, you can lift the car from the rear point and both front and rear wheels will be off the ground, at which point you can slip a jackstand in front. Then, you can work on both front and rear each side without having to jack every corner.
