How do I deal with the plastic divider found in the single din set up if I want to install a double din head unit? If my car came with the Nav system I would think it would be plug and play but my car came with a single din HU.

Dremel it out, or use a metal saw if you don't have a dremel.

Just thought I'd throw this up here. Not the best picture, but this is the Pioneer Z130BT and I used the EuroMotorspeed installation kit from ebay. Worked like a charm and looks factory...but you cannot use their wiring instructions.

I have a single DIN kenwood excelon, not too thrilled about the deck, sounds good but I hate trying to navigate through kenwood menu's to get to simple adjustments like bass adjustment, plus the display characters suck. BUT I LOVE the front USB port that works my iPod without issue,I listen to Pandora every day.

"Dremel it out, or use a metal saw if you don't have a dremel." So this is what folks have done in the past? I just did not want to mess up a OEM part on my car but don't see any other way around it besides a single din slide out pop up screen and frankly I am not finding any single din pop up screens available if I did go that route.

Do you mean the style as shown in the attached pic "Comm Console" which has no center plastic frame and is for the OEM Comm GPS. Versus the two single din version shown in the other attachment labeled Center Console I single din ?

I think you need a new one, you need to dremel couple of sports were support screws go in. Plus the divider keeps the OEM stereo in place. Just wait and snype one on ebay for 80$ if you really one to go back OEM at some point. They show up all the time.
