Default but wait - there's more...

to top it off I replaced my drivers-side vanity mirror lid too - parts from Sunset. Talked my wife into holding it up while I soldered it. Already had done 'her' side. Now I need to replace the drivers side headlight washer assembly - assuming that all I gotta' do is pull the headlight.

when the headlight comes loose from turning the release - it makes a sound that might scare the pants off you like "Sh#@ I just broke the frickin headligh?"

its normal... then a little gentle wiggle while turning the release and it will slide right out - when installing... wiggle very gently so it "falls in" while feeling the release lever with the tool... THEN tighten the release - again - BIG ole SNAP... a bit scary, but normal

Is that the same thing as a 'pumpkin delete'? If so, I already put the clears in. The Litronics are all clear anyway

Hi! Just to make sure I order the right part, do you have the part number for the hood latch assembly that you ordered? Would be great to have this working right!
Thanks!

Cewitanlee - 996-511-053-02 from Sunset: list $144.81, YOUR price: 111.57. Be sure to order some more stuff since it best to consolidate shipping. Need pollen filter??? Clear side set? etc.

You can adjust the position of latch by unscrewing the two bolts holding to the front part of the bumper and move it up or down. I bought a new one and while replacing it found the latch mechanism to be adjustable. Try that first.

Default The adjustment applies mainly to how high or low the front hood edge sits...

...but by all means, try to adjust it first. But if it does not pop up and your hood edge is ok, you likely need a new latch. When you replace yours, you will need to transfer a little clip from the old from your old electrical connection to the new one (it holds the connection tight to the sheet metal in the boot area behind the felt lining). You will see what I mean after you take the electrical part 'apart'.
