Default RSS Plenum on Special

Hey folks, we just wanted to let you know that RSS has reduced the IPD Plenum and it's on special for the rest of this month (ending September 5th). You can order the part by emailing dan@sharkwerks.com or calling us on 510-651-0300 or if you prefer by calling RSS on 714.545.1046 (ask for Mike or Bryan).

We've installed a good few of these over the years and actually used the IPD plenum products before on all our cars, the GT800 996TT, the 1999 996 C2 and on our Cayman S RS350 project, where we found really great gains when coupled with the larger GT3 throttle body and EVOMSit software (check out the dyno). They make for an easy bolt-on (no modifications needed to install) and the car can be returned to factory at anytime.

Dan first I have heard of adding a 82mm 997 GT3 throttle body to a 1999 C2......can you elaborate more on this? What is the Stock throttle body size?
I assume it provides more air to the Rss Plenum (which I already have)
Is the flash specific to this set up or the std flash?
what would the cost be just for the Throttle body for those with the plenum?

Hi Yoops,
I haven't done this yet so I can't say for sure how the fitment would be for this application. It might require a bit of modification because the size differences.

Which flash are you running on your car?

I will PM you about pricing on the throttle body.

Hi LVDell,
I do not have a dyno here and have not firsthand seen the product dynoed as the only part on the car.

RSS has dyno plots for the different models on its site here:
http://www.roadsportsupply.com/

Also there was a Plenum Dyno Day where they had a local/independent shop dyno various configurations and I am pretty sure some stock as well:

Hi Pete,
I don't stock the GT3 throttle bodies here, but I will PM a recommendation on where to buy them. The EVOMSit software for your car is $1095.

This thing really nets 18 lb-ft? Is it proven or pie in the sky? Other benefits?
