Default Sprint Booster -- maybe best mod yet

I ordered the Sprint Booster and asked my 12 year old daughter to help me install it. She got behind the footwell and put the Sprint Booster in about 15 minutes! ;-))

I'm also attaching a couple of photos which shows how the connector looks when detached and a clear shot of the complete installation.

The difference it more than dramatic and between this and the 997 shifter upgrade, it feels like a totally new car.

Yes, 6 speed or tip? I find it curious that no 6 sp owners acknowledge the sluggishness/weird linearity of the DBW throttles. I'm sure the tips are more noticeable, but it is still pretty hesitant on the manuals. If you're slamming through the gears, it's fine, but I honestly feel that the first 40% of pedal travel is too incremental in the throttle increase per degree of pedal movement. But, that said, I still gotta say that $300 is just WAY too much, it's not like the car is undriveable! It has plenty of room for improvement so if at least the booster had switchable points to fine tune it to each drivers preference, the $300 would be easier to swallow, but you just have to go and take what the Booster makers feel is correct. Anyone know what they charge for other make & model SB's?

I certainly feel the "slack" in the throttle on my 6 speed 2002 4S. I always thought it was made that way on purpose for non-sporting inclined drivers, so that they would not lose control.

If it was $200 I'd buy it. But like you said - $300 is a big chunk of new x-pipe cats... which I'd rather have.

I don't know about the 997 guys, but I saw a cupholder thread right above this one in the 996 forum. Hell, I don't really even consider my AWD 911 to be a sports car...more of a GT, really, and it's a family truckster at our house.

I tend to drive just about anything sportingly, often to my wifes dismay

Come on down to Dallas and drive my POS. If you can drive it sportingly, I'll buy you dinner!
