Smile

Thanks for all the welcomes. I've been on here all afternoon and it seems a right laugh.

As for mods, wheels first I think...and then...who knows!

Ha ha. I've just looked at other member's pics. You can tell I'm a newbie, does anyone else still have the pumpkin turn signals ?

Cool

EVERYBODY here had them at one time or another. That was the way they came to the USA from the factory. Several folks have attempted to insist that they would keep their orange markers because that made the car more valuable as an original. However, since as you have already stated you are changing the wheels, then you have soiled that path forever. LOL!
Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

I haven't changed mine yet...

I will but just haven't gotten around to it and it's not something that bothers me when I look at the car.

Well, after the pumpkins you have to do the amberectomy - Ed (Ivangene) is the resident expert on that around here... and the list goes on... (my list is in my signature...) And if you want the official list, Tim can recite that for you (luckily you're off the bad list with the quick posting of the pics...)

Anyway, you're going to love it here... and yes, when you reach "Addict" level, you really are...

I'm not particularly inclined to do mods, but even I got rid of those things.

I like the Jag. Really sweet.

Welcome!

Already loving it here, everyone seems so helpful. I just hope my bank balance can take it.

[QUOTE=JohnnyBuckhead;6753883]Hello all,

I thought for my first post I’d introduce the car I recently purchased, rather than me, (I'm boring).

’99 996 Cab Trip S. 38k Miles, $23K Silver over black. Full Leather etc.

Current
I’ve had it a month and done a little over 800 Miles. I find it surprisingly sluggish unless you really go for it in Trip. The transmission makes it sound like a hairdryer with the roof up, perhaps that is a problem with the tranny and I don’t realize!

Hi Johnny,

I have a 2001 Tip as well. I assume you have figured out it starts in 2nd gear. If not, drop it into first: it may seem a little snappier off the line...
