Default water in driver foot well (after wash) updated

Hi,
just gave my C4S a wash after my 2700 mile roadtrip last week.
After doing some dusting inside the car, I felt a few drops of water hitting my feet (while in driver's seat). Reached under the dash and felt some stuff was wet.

Any idea where the water could have made it in?

I did not use a high pressure washer.

Thanks.

happened to me before - check your drains up by the battery, I would place money on them being clogged or partially clogged.....

Thanks!
Will have a look later.

I suppose I should also take some pictures of the car now that it's mine?

Ok,

had a chance to check it. The line actually has a tear in it near the top.

Seems like an interesting job to fix. Any ideas on how to tackle this (have a feeling there's no quick and easy way)?

I wonder if you could insert a small piece of flexible plastic tubing

The one near to the right of the battery has a tear, I have no idea what the normal lenght is, but will try to insert a similar liner inside.

The other 2 drains in the front seem to be just small soft rubber. Nothing like the diagram posted on here.

1 think what might have contributed is that our driveway is extremely steep, and water might have collected that way.

Going to try a scope at work to have a better look.
