Default Ever Seen a Stereo Install Like this??

I found this car on Ebay (a 1999 that sold for $24.5K recently, not to me). I thought the stereo, which is GPS, BlueTooth, etc, WITHOUT the pop out screen, was pretty cool. Does anyone know where the custom dash plastic came from (which I guess moves the climate control downwards and the radio on top)? Think this was custom made, or can you buy this dash piece somewhere (not talking about the radio, talking about the center dash piece in black plastic)?

I did my Kenwood DNX 5140 with the Eurospeed kit and its perfect. comes with wiring harnesses to adapt to the power and amp pre outs if your car is equpped.
Real easy to DIY and save big $$. There are many posts on install at 6 speed, renntech and here. Good luck.

I like that except for the lettering "Porsche" under the radio.

I installed a Pioneer AVIZ-Z with that face plate and painted it to match the flat black of the dash

Marc,

Do you have the MOST system? If so, did you install a new amp, or go directly to the speakers?

I've got an '03 with the MOST bus.....I've learned it's not "plug and play", but do you know if you can bypass everything and still use the bose speakers, already in place? I have the CDR-23 with Bose Hi-Fi and no CD changer.

Thanks, Dana

I need to do something like this in the Boxster. It has PCM 1 which is crappy and no longer updated.
