Damn, hope it works out Ed!

Same thing almost happened to me last week in a Starbucks parking lot! I was stopped waiting for a space when a yahoo in a Town Car started backing right into my right side. I hit the horn, and the gas, and luckily he stopped within inches of my rear fender! My car's minty life passed before my eyes, but disaster was avoided. Sorry you weren't as lucky.

yea, the question is in my head.... could I have moved and avoided it, and if I moved would she have hit me in a worse/better spot...

it seems to me there was a car in front of me (which was why I was stopped) but I dont recall if it moved while I was watching this happen. Then I think, well I could have moved ahead and had her *** drag all the way down the side of the car... so I surely have been tossing about the options and reactions in my head. Still, not a bad accident so I dont want to blow it all out of whack

body shop quoted $2400 - insurance quoted $2200, check written, parts ordered, waiting for the call to take it in.....

should I stick on my GT2 Yellow Hood ??
(and have them paint it at the same time)

my hood has issues (which is why I have the GT2 hood in the garage to begin with)

OH SHUT UP !!!

Yup after the anonymous Owwie I got in our work parking lot I ended up with new front and rear bumper covers and side rocker panels... There are silver linings and there are silver linings...

Thanks! But I gotta say, even so, I was a little intimidated by the two 997 C2S jocks I drove with to the Irvine C&C...

In my case, insurance kicked in something like $1200 and I ponied up about $2200... my reasoning was - I could go with the stock bumper and only pay the $300 deductible, or I could cough up some more money and end up with the front bumper I really wanted... which turned into a whole body kit, minus the wing (next year...) After all was said and done, insurance subsidized about a third of the facelift... enough of a silver lining for me!

Good luck and I hope you find a silver lining with yours!

Ed, just install the yellow GT2 hood "as is" without repainting it. Maybe you can get your GT2 wing back and turn your car into a bumblebee!!

Car went in this morning - I am asking for a quote to paint my yellow hood and install, and clean up the road rash out front...

meanwhile I have a 300M to drive..... I think a ford focus would be better - this thing is crap, isnt it supposed to be Chryslers top car? cheap cheap cheap materials and consturction, way out dated technology, fair drivability, crap seats and instruments, clunky controls, and a beautiful shiny silver painted dash that when the sun hit it this morning was like 10 mirrors reflecting all the sun right into my eyes... a real treat to drive while nearly being blinded by the light...
not only that but I felt like I should be leaning way back and off to one side..... wierd - the controls (like blinker) and WAY down on the bottom of the wheel so you dont have to work hard and reach WAY up from your sleeping / McDonalds eating position....Nice cup holders though....they actually block the entire shift console so you dont have to look at those things... ewe, shifty things....I think my kids found a pop up tray to set drive thru bags on....yummy, lunch alla Bently wanna be gheto machine

My guess is a Kia would have better fit/form and function maybe materials too

Wonder what the GT2 rear wing would like like on it? ......BAWAHAHAHAHA
