Hmmm, should we bring up engine failure in EVERY thread?
Maybe there's another thread for this???
Let's see... somewhere on Rennlist.... I think I saw something....

Sorry about the accident Ed. Hopefully you have no suspension damage. It can be very difficult to get it fixed i have found.

I bet you'll be pushing $5k when it's all done, but the other guy's insurance should pay for all of it - you may have to subregate to get your deductible back. Just make sure you take it to a specialist and it gets returned to perfect.

Think of it as an opportunity to get rid of any stone chips!

same thing happened to me on an 88 851 years ago, dopey kid just backed right into my front left fender.
So I get it fixed get the entire nose freshened up at the body shop than drop the car at my mechanic for some repairs and one of his guys closes the freshened hood on a tool... crunch! back to the body shop!

True. You can also talk to the shop about any additional body work as well. Most body shops when doing insurance work will fix other minor things at the same time because they get top dollar from the insurance company.

like adding a wing?

I sent off an email to my alignment guy this am. He is the guru on these things and knows my car. I will see what he suggests.

ya, since the front was bumped at the track a few months back and I have a "curb" scrape on the lower lip + rock chips... I am viewing it as a "freshen up" the front

positive spin on negative circumstance

Ed, I think that accident you had shook a few screws loose in your head. But, I actually like the train horn, especially the one in the second video that changes pitch. Nice!!

Ed,

Most of the ding dongs are so clueless I don't think that the train horn would work either. She would probably get out of the car and say "I thought I heard a train in the distance, but I didn't see you back there. u sure I didn't hit a curb?"

Sorry to hear about this. Hope you gave her an earful.

so this is like the most subtle "accident" you could have and yet yesterday going home, I opened the sunroof (pop up) and it rattled to the point that I had to close it because it was driving me NUTS.... now that has never happened before, but I cant see how this could be connected.

Thoughts? coincidence or related

am I suffering from a loose nut in the noodle like Phil thinks
