Default Porschefest 2009 - Asheville, NC - pics

A few snaps of the photo shoot at the Biltmore Estate this morning. 76 Porsches, all vintages in front of the "house" and then a concours and brunch afterwards....

Great event.... gee, that black 996 should win the concours.... not.

I wanted to go but they had only 100 slots available

I'll have to make my reservations earlier next time!

Seems like a cool event! I see it rained there a bit, did the weather hold up for most of the weekend?

Weather's been pretty good - only rain we really had was before noon today. But it wasn't coming down hard - and the temperature's been pleasant. Sorry we couldn't host more folks - we have 150 folks at the banquet - and simply couldn't fit more bodies without putting a damper on the event.

Doug,

Thanks for sharing the pics. The second pic is AWESOME!

I have been to the Biltmore Estate twice and it brings back memories of my time in NC.

Thanks Doug. I guess I've heard of the Biltmore Estate before, but what a perfect setting for the Porsche gathering. Even the weather looks very, uh, European, ha.

Great collection of cars -- thanks for sharing!
