Default windshield wiper blows fuse

I added the cupholder into the climate control space last night on my 00 C4. Now this morning the wiper is blowing the fuse. It started out ok, but halfway into my drive in the rain, the wipers just stopped. I made it to my distination, checked the fuse and it was blown. I replaced it, turned on the wiper, and after one swipe, I heard the fuse blew. Anyone know what could cause this. The wiper worked good for about twenty minutes, but then blew.

there might be something preventing it from moving freely... make sure the path is clear or need oiling... also, wiper motor might be going bad, pulling to many amps.

Pull the cup holder out and see if you pinched some wires. Last thing touched first thing checked

Good call 99Firehawk. I removed the cupholder and checked the wires. Found some that were exposed. I used electrical tape and taped everything that was suspect. Wipers work, come on rain. thanks

Ed, I agree with what Red said. Since you are in Seattle, you probably had to wait 6 months so you could take a pic with the sun shining.
