It gets worse.... a small group of us are going for a drive on Sunday and Phil says he's joining us. It's pretty scary.

No more delusional than usual. I'm just in a coffee frenzy.

Weather permitting, of course. But, I am planning on going. Life is short and all that, but damn - my car is gonna rot if I don't drive it.

I'm not convinced that it will last, but it's encouraging.

Maybe some day I'll buy his car from him and show "her" what ecstasy feels like by driving her hard every day!

you know, all it takes is for someone to show her the right spot and she'll realize what she has been missing all her life... I'd love to see you ride her hard and put her away wet.

Well, I just got back from a nice drive on the backgrounds.... 5 cars and some fun backroads - it was great to see Phil, Redridge and Chsu74 again - I have to admit that having three aeros side by side looks mighty fine and I always enjoy meeting up with their owners.

Tim, yes, Phil proved me wrong and did show up this morning. The first thing he said when I saw him this morning was not a comment about being up so early to go driving, but complaining about the roads being more damp than he anticipated. Despite my best efforts to get his car wet he managed to finish the drive without a single waterspot... I will say that there's plenty of dust on that car (I wrote my name on his back left bumper ), but no dirt.

At the end of the day I managed to put over 130 miles onto Phil's car and he only complained about it once.

...we've gotta do this again soon!

Thanks to Wayne for putting this together, and for everyone showing nice. Very nice group of people who love their cars. Wayne - the only waterspots on my car now are those where I missed drying it after giving it a good bath after the drive. I actually put 150 miles on it today (!!!!). It takes driving some nice twisty back roads to realize just how competent (yes, and fun) these cars really are. I had a blast today!! Nice to meet everyone!!

Now it's off to my therapist for a good 2 hour session

150 miles! Whoo-hoo!!!

Seriously, you gave it another bath after you got home? I thought you had family stuff to be doing.

Did you wash the smiley face I left on your bumper? (j/k)

Tim, look, the grass does grow in front of Phil's car.

Absolutely - yeah, family's here but they understand my compulsion for a clean Porsche! Funny, the grass wasn't there a month ago when I parked it there.
