went to the Exotics C&C this morning and they let me park my poor little old Porsche in with the big boys !! Plenty of other Porshce, Ferrari's Lambos Lotus and other models... Even a famous singer showed up (who I got to meet, AND drive up the freeway beside - him in a really awsome Lambo!)

I have a party tonight so I have to wash the kids..... thank goodness its warmer today cuz the hose only shoots cold water

It says in his post that he didn't wash the tires since he's waiting for the paint to fully harden before introducing moisture.

Hooked on phonics helps, FYI.

Well I went and cleaned up the wheels with a little armor all and a towel. (That really sucked BTW)

Here's a few more photos to flip the nay-sayers.

Oh and I appreciate all the opinions, the ones that like it a little more, than the jerk-offs that don't.....

Ed, it looks gorgeous. It took a little while to grow on me (I looked last night and thought about it, but didn't say anything)....now, I absolutely love it. I miss my Vesuvio car. That is such a stunning color. The wheels match perfect. I always thought about getting black wheels for mine. I had a more than a few negative comments (here) about the black wheels on my current (Iris Blue) 996. It has become my favorite mod, that I have ever done to a car.
You only have to make one person happy when it comes to your car (ok, maybe two)...my wife loves your new wheel color also.
Here is your car's twin, with polished wheels. Your wheels look way better. My blue car is pictured, before the black wheels. My vesuvio car had a stock suspension. The iris blue car is dropped with PSS9s.

Ed, if it looks good for you, then it's good enough. The metallic car and metallic wheels is a nice idea.

Drop it like it's hot!

Yes but the wheels were really beat up especially after the last blowout where I hit a rock that pinched the tire to the side wall and took a fairly good gouge into the wheel edge. The main reason for this paint job was to get rid of the dings, scratches, and horrible curb rash that was on the wheels.

I'm not one for doing something for nothing. There was a reason behind the whole project.....

Yeah I remember your oldie. It was neat seeing it on here, I've only seen one other besides yours and it was on a flat bed heading to Phoenix.

I like your blue with black wheels! I really like that it's lowered the way it is and it looks more utility than bling when they\ wheels are black!

I want to drop it! But baby steps:
1. sways
2. cage
3. suspension....

I like it, but eventhough you went a little off-black, I think it's still a little too dark for your dark colored car.
It would have been perfect for my car (Seal Grey).
You should apply a thin pinstripe around the rim/edges, that should help.

Oh I didn't realize and can't believe he painted the wheels without removing the tires. Double fail!

Who was the singer?

For sure the graphite makes the body color pop. I liked the stock wheel color, but I don't dislike the graphite either.
