Default Aftermarket warranty

Has anyone used or heard of Warrantech/RepairMaster warranties for used cars?

I know there are some pretty bad warranties being offered. I don't think this company was listed as one.

Any other suggestions for another company.

I'm working on a deal for a 2022 C4S, low miles. PPI next week.

Just saving my pennies......

2002 C4S. The 2022 cars will be magnetically powered. No moving parts, so no PPI will be required.

All good warranty companies should be backed by a creditworthy insurance company. Find out which insurer underwrites their policies and see what their financial rating is through AM Best, Moodys, S&P or whatever. The next step is to ask around and see if they pay out claims without problems. Repair shops/dealers can tell you.

FWIW, I have Warranty Direct and they have always paid my claims. They are also backed by a credit worthy insurer when I checked.

I would go with one that your repair shop sells and uses.
All aftermarket warranties can be fun to deal with. I had one that I always a some other freaking charge that I had to pay for. READ the fine print.

I agree with function12. I bought mine from the local dealer here so he can direct bill them and I don't have to deal with the pre-approval and the claim etc.
I finally got to use them this past week and it was relatively painless.
