Default Looking for cats for 2004 996

I posted this in the want-ads as well...
Looking for a set of factory catalytic converters for a 2004 996. P/Ns are:
996 113 021 53
and
996 113 022 53.

I'd prefer cats without track use and moderate mileage (say, less than 35k or so).

Thanks.

Not sure for what use but I hope you know that Cats are warranty for 8 years. So if you need a replacement, just go to your dealer and they will do it for no charge. I just did both of mine recently and I have an 02.

If they are for your 40 Jahre, different part numbers for the M96.03 engine.

Warranty covers 8 yrs - up to 75k miles. No charge.... had both replaced on my 02 in the past 12 months.

They are for the 40 jahre, but my catalog doesn't indicate separate numbers for M96.03. Do you know what they are? Thanks in advance.

3 pages attached - first page shows the part numbers you listed - last page shows the part numbers for the M96.03 which I believe is the engine model in the 40 jahre - at least it is in mine.

the fed emissions warranty is 8/80. Porsche just replaced mine at 81K miles, gratis. This is now the 3rd pair of cats on the car.

The 40 has the performance package engine. You could check all the part #s for the exhaust and see if any of it is different from regular engines.

Thanks to everyone for the excellent feedback. I don't have the original factory cats, but I'm looking for a pair to use on special occasions. It looks like I may have found a pair.

To those who have had to replace their cats, I'd be interested in your usage pattern. In other words, is it just high mileage? or do you track your car? or something else?

Thanks again!

My cats have # 996 113 03 stamped on them.
That probibly means the parts book has many different #s for referencing different cars.
But that part # on the cat is the part itself.. Guessing this cat fits lots of cars from 02 up.

Actually - in the gas shortage this Summer - getting 93 octane was tough - I used some octane booster, went to the track, I always let the car warm up at idle for a while before getting on the track - so I can only guess that there could be a combination of factors there - and I think they say you shouldn't necessarily let the car idle to warm it up - supposedly bad for cats.... i dunno - warranty is a nice thing for these times.

By "special occasions" are you saying you have an emissions inspection requirement in your state?

I am on my 3rd pair as well and on one side it is all ready started rattling around back there. I am just waiting until the check engine light comes on before I bring it in. Hopefully the other one will also go so it saves me a second trip.

The part numbers are listed in the pages from the parts book I posted above.
