Detail Professional
Does anyone know of an excellent detailer in the Boulder/Broomfield/Denver Colorado area? I bought the car back in June, and while it does look good, the black paint could use some professional help. It looks like the previous owner parked under a tree, so it has tiny sap dots all over the horizontal surfaces.
Thanks
Andy

Zaino it!
$120 - Ultimate Protection Kit
$40 - Microfiber towels from AudiOn19s
8 hours of back breaking work
Grin on your face when you drink the first beer afterwards -- priceless!

If the sap was left on too long combined with sunlight it will have eaten through the topcoat and damaged the paint.
I live in a forest setting and only room for the Porsche in the garage so my Acura sits outside and has suffered this problem over the years.
Looks like it has leprosy!
So you need to clean it quickly and often and investing in a car cover would be the best.

Check out Autopia.org.
You should be able to put a post out and see if there is anyone in your area. That's going to be the best means of finding someone to do the work correctly and not hacking it up. Whatever you do please do not shop based on price. If possible try to get referrals and do some research before choosing someone. It sounds stupid but a detail by a "professional" could be the best or worst money you've ever spent. Some of us truely take pride in our work and ability to restore the condition of vehicles. Others are just in the business to make money. There will be a vast difference in the end result so I urge you to do your homework.

Thanks Andy, I'll give that a shot. Pete, mine lives in a garage and is washed weekly weather permitting. I've gently tried clay bar to remove the spots that are really only visible under the florescent lights in the garage, but didn't want to run the risk of carving things up myself. Out in the sunlight, you can't really see the issue, but it bugs me.

If you get a good lead on a excellent shop, please share, as I am looking for a detail professional in Colorado Springs, but would drive to Denver for the service! Thanks! Bob // Colorado

Detailer in Denver
We just had a tech session last weekend at Intrigue Detail at Club Auto in Lakewood. Good guys and they really know what they are doing. They will get your car perfect. The phone number is 303-482-1266. I plan to have them get my car ready for the Parade this summer in Keystone. http://www.theintriguedetail.com/
Good luck and tell them that you got the referral from Chad from the Porsche Breakfast Club. No benefit to me, just will help you with the introduction.
Thanks,
Chad

Chad, I had Intrigue Detail take care of my car today and it turned out Perfect! It looks like a brand new car. I greatly appreciate the recommendation.
Motobob, give these guys a call and make an appointment.

I hear you, Tim. Last night's snow storm took the wind out of my sails on the pictures, but I should be able to clean it back up on Sunday as we're supposed to hit the 50s again.
