Default Need mk1 GT3 Rear Wing - leads anyone?

I'm looking for an mk1 GT3 (Aerokit) rear wing. Either factory OEM or a very good replica with movable wing element. I've been watching EBay and only saw 1 in recent weeks.

Any leads? Other places I should be looking?

Yes it was on the 6Speed for sale section. I don't know if it sold.

They are on ebay all the time, but they are all aftermarket. There's also MAShaw. If you want to hold out for OEM, you will either pay the piper or wait until one comes up for sale.

Is the mkII aerokit wing the same as the 996 GT3 wing? I'm considering (if it was a reasonable price) what a GT3 rear wing would look like on the back of my 40th...

Both are GT3 wings, but from different periods. You would need a MkII wing for your car.

Ah, but she is such a beautiful car already! Plus it adds weight right where you don't want it...

I doubt the GT3 rear wing adds any weight. The stock lid is metal and the replacement wing and decklid are fiberglass. It's probably a wash or very close at least.

Actually, no. The aero wings are lighter than the stock spoiler, as they're made out of fiberglass.

My aero wing was lighter than the decklid I removed.

I recall Wayne has issues with aftermarket rear wing quality. If you are going that route, make sure you see it in person before buying it.

Suncoast has the OEM MKII for $3680 and a replica for $1695. Make sure you get the aerocup wing, not the GT3 wing as the intake ducting is in a different location. Ask me how I know. However, I will be developing autocad plans this spring for a custom intake to make it work properly.
